Breakfast with Elmo and Elmo's Bay of Play

This past weekend has been quite busy. Matt went to Las Vegas with his cousin to see the Mr. Olympia show. He left Thursday night and came back Sunday evening. He had a good time and I think it was a nice break for him.

Katie and I stayed at my parents Friday and Saturday nights and we went to Sea World to see:

Katie really liked it. Since she is totally into Elmo. Although she was a little more interested in just walking around, she did LOVE Elmo, Ernie, Big Bird and a few other of the characters that she got to meet. Here are a few other pictures of her "friends".

Here are a few other pictures from Elmo's Bay of Play. We really did not see much other than the breakfast and Bay of Play. Katie was getting her 7th and 8th tooth and was a little miserable. Not crying, but just not as happy as she was at Universal Studios.
They had these fountains with water all over and she LOVED playing and getting wet. In fact, she was soaking wet, but she had a fantastic time, so it was worth it.

Kind of like the Tea Cups.....
Kind of like Dumbo, but with Elmo....
Here is our future pop diva.....
I can't wait to go with Matt. He will love to see his little girl playing and running all over. All in all, we were there for a little over 2 hours and then headed back home. She did well in the car and slept a lot of the way. She was awake a lot too, so I think that is why she was a little tired when we got there.

Matt's Birthday was on Saturday and we had a nice dinner. A few of his friends and our families went out for sushi. It was really nice and we had a good time, even though he was not too surprised. Oh well....I tried.

Dodgers magic number is 1....they need to win 1 game to clinch the NL west division...I am sure they will do it within the next game or so.

Katie is walking around answering the phone any time it rings. Well, she holds it up over her ear and says "Uh-LO" or "HI" which kind of sounds like she is doing some kind of karate move or something. I tried to catch it on video, but I don't think I got too good of a shot.

Here are a few more pictures of our trip to Universal....

This is Katie hugging Scooby Doo

And checking out Ms. Pecker (is that her name?)

Walking around...there is nothing like an amusement park with no shoes, right? Except that the ground was kind of hot.....

Kissing Dora. A lady there said "Oh, look how cute, she recognized Dora." But Katie has not ever watched Dora, so I just think she liked the characters.

With Fred, I mean mom.....

Dodgers won yesterday against the Pirates (who are in last place). WooHoo....Andre Etheir apparently had his baby on 9/13 congrats to him and his wife.

Katie's trip to Universal Studios

My mom and I took Katie to Universal Studios on Saturday. It was her first amusment park trip and she did so well. She LOVED the characters and kissed them all and hugged them all-even Frankenstein. She was so facinated by the Donkey from Shrek. Here is a video of her litterally laughing her head off.

Here are a few other pictures. One with the Hulk-yea, that is her on his foot. He was huge. She cried when I picked her up and moved her so that others could take pictures with it.

Katie is helping daddy install the safety locks on the cabinets so that she can't get into them.

Did I ever tell you that Katie thinks that she can eat anything and everything? Well, here is an example of her trying to eat the pole at the kiddie area in the mall.....
Katie had a play date yesterday with Owen and Brando. They are so cute. We went to the mall and met with Fenella and her sister and had a quick bit to eat (it is not so easy with 3 10-11 month olds!) and then it was off to the play area. I am not sure who was wearing what and I can't tell the difference between the boys.

As for our dinner, it was really nice. We had a lot of food and it was really yummy. I can't believe that we have been married for 3 years already. Here is a pic of us on our wedding day-just for fun!

Well, the Dodgers just ended an 8 game winning streak. Woo Hoo for passing the D'Backs and taking first place for the first time since April.

Andre Ethier was also named the National League player of the week for ROCKING with the bat for the past few games. From what I heard, he is also expecting a son on 9/12/08. congrats to him and his wife Maggie. Having children will change your life-for the better.

Matt and I are going to dinner tomorrow for our 3rd anniversary. We are going to go to Kabuki....yummy! My mom will watch Katie for a few hours for us-so we can have a quite dinner-I have a feeling it just won't be the same-hee hee.

I emailed an agent for a print photo shoot for Katie for Baby Gap, so hopefully she will get called and will get a job. Wouldn't that be cool?

I got a shot of cortisone in my foot for my plantar faciatis. So far so good. The shot was not that bad at all. I just hope that it makes all the difference and I can start running and walking and wearing shoes other than tennis shoes for the first time since half way though my pregnancy with Katie.

Katie's 3rd Dodger Game

We went to the game on Wednesday, Katie had a hard time because she just wanted to run around and play and it really was not the place for that. I think this will be her last game for a while. It was way too hard to deal with her and I missed most of the game because we were walking around the section where they have the condiments for the Dodger Dogs. But it was still fun. The Dodgers won! Woo Hoo. The outfit she is wearing came from my mom's sister Jackie-isn't it cute???

Here is another picture of her playing and wanting to get back into her cage....

Well....this little girl is pretty much running (YES, I said running) all over the place now. I never imagined that I would be blessed with an early walker and runner. For about an hour before bed time tonight, she ran pretty much non stop in her 'play area' and was a sweaty little thing. I mean really sweaty-hair dripping wet sweaty. I took her temperature just to make sure she was not sick because she was so wet, but it was as normal as can be. I guess her thermostat is working, she just has a little condensation....

Yesterday, Matt's parents and sister and Nicholas, Idalia and Alyssa came up and we went to brunch (it was his parents 40th wedding anniversary) and then to the park. Katie was intrigued by her cousins and loved playing with them, but I don't think as much as they loved playing with her. I am sure that will come in time. Here are some park pictures...

Dodgers won yesterday and today. Hopefully this will be a make up for their losing streak...
